Rawa Dolu School

In 2019, the Juniper Trust raised £60,000 to rebuild two schools in the remote villages of Rawa Dolu and Vidhyadatri and a kindergarten in Bampti Village. The two schools each have around 50 students still using temporary shelters for their education, three years on from the earthquake in April 2015. AAN ran 2 trips in 2019, the first to Vidhyadatri School where they helped make the finishing touches to the painting and decorating the classrooms, making furniture and raised £5000 to provide new uniforms and equipment for all the children.

With help from Cicerone Press, who celebrated their 50th anniversary, money has been raised to build three classrooms for the 60 children Rawa Dolu School. It was officially opened in October 2019 when our 2nd group arrived to help make the finishing touches to the painting and decorating the classrooms, making furniture and raised £5000 to provide new uniforms and equipment for all the children.
